April 28, 2010 - MB's captain has been called
up to the majors - of celebrity sports dinners that is. Yes, MB's
CEO and Creative Director Steve Klein will be
running the plays as Executive Producer for the 13th Annual Ottawa
Celebrity Sports Dinner and he'll be joined by one of the
biggest names in sports history: Hall of Famer and former Miami
Dolphins quarterback, Dan Marino!
Taking place on Monday, October 25th, Marino will headline this
all-star roster. The Ottawa Sports Dinner is a huge production. The
offence will cover the entire field (a.k.a. The Hampton Inn Ottawa and
Conference Centre. No doubt, Klein will have his hands full,
but rest assured TSN and CTV sports fans, he's got the experience
to get the job done.
Celebrity host Rod Black will be returning for his third
consecutive year with the event. Last year, over $230,000 was
raised for the Soloway Jewish Community
Centre, which provides the Ottawa community a full spectrum of
educational, social, recreational and cultural programs and
services. This year, the dinner has two beneficiaries: the Soloway
Jewish Community Center and the Queensway-Carleton Hospital
Foundation. The goal for 2010 is to score even bigger numbers
for these worthy causes.
Klein couldn't be more excited about this year's lineup and is thrilled to playing the position of Executive Producer: "It's a privilege to be given such a responsibility and we're going to set Ottawa on its heels this year with massive star power." When pressed about what's hidden in this year's playbook, Klein wouldn't give up any other marquee names. "You'll just have to show up on game day to find out."
