MB in the Community

The Marketing Breakthroughs™ team is made up of caring individuals, all involved in and engaged with the Ottawa community that they call home. Here are a few examples of causes and initiatives that are near and dear to their hearts.

Steve Klein acts as the Executive Producer for two of the biggest annual charity events in the city: the Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner and the Gold Plate Dinner. Steve and MB have been involved with these events in different capacities for years, but recently, Steve has committed himself to enhancing the production and crowd-pleasing elements of these two dinners. The results have been overwhelmingly successful. Over $145,000 was raised for charity at the 26th Gold Plate Dinner and over $290,000 was raised for charity at the 13th Annual Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner. MB is a proud continued sponsor of both of these events, providing support in the form of collateral and signage design. This year's 14th Annual Ottawa Celebrity Sports Dinner will take place on October 24, 2011 with Steve at the helm as returning Executive Producer.

On August 7, 2010, Melinda Hudson participated in a charity event for an organization called Stem Cells for Brynn. The event was a 5k walk, aptly named "Walk for Brynn," which raised pledges and exposure for Melinda's friend Brynn, who has FSH Muscular Dystrophy. 

The MB team has also participated in recent La Vendemmia Grape Stomp and HOPE Beach Volleyball events.
